“Crime Doesn’t Pay” – See what South Africans did to a popular Zimbabwean musician caught hijacking

Platinum Prince is the stage name of a musician from Zimbabwe who has recently been in the news due to allegations that he was involved in a hijacking event that took place in South Africa. It has been reported that Platinum Prince, a well-known figure in the dancehall culture of Harare, Zimbabwe, was taken into custody after making an attempt to hijack a diesel tanker in the country.

Wemabars confirmed the news on Twitter that Zimbabwean musician Platinum Prince was apprehended while attempting to hijack a diesel tanker in South Africa. It has also been alleged that the failed attempt at hijacking was carried out together with an accomplice who was also apprehended, and both of them were “paid” for their wrongdoing.

According to iHarare, Platinum Prince received brutal treatment after being caught in the act of stealing. He was beaten to a pulp.

It is not apparent where in the country the occurrence took place, so this information is not currently available. According to iHarare’s explanation, however, what is known is that the intervention by those who found the emerging crime escalated the situation into a savage confrontation, which left the artist bloodied and scarred.
