Asavela Mqokiyana is a South African born and bred actress who is popular for the roles she played on Isibaya and Abomama. Playing the role of Ntwenhle on Isibaya was her big break in the entertainment industry and has helped her gain recognition. She started portraying this role back in 2018 until 2021 when Isibaya came to its final season and thus saying goodbye to us permanently. Asavela Mqokiyana has recently won herself a new role on the famous soapie opera on ETV news, Durban Gen, as Amahle Dladla. She is doing exceptionally well in portraying this character, the producers and directors of the soapie are proud and happy with her performance. As an actress, this is a very huge milestone for her as it allows her to grow and improve in her craft. She is so excited to be working with other amazing and great artists whom she has always looked up to. 
The beautiful actress has recently taken it to her Instagram page that she has lost her dog which we have experienced her obsess over. Asavela Mqokiyana has always posted pictures with this dog named Bhubesi and has always shared its growth and the funny things it did like biting her shoes.
