Former Bafana Bafana captain Steven Pienaar who is undoubtedly one of, if not the greatest exploit South Africa has ever produced and his wife Awa Pienaar formerly known as Awa Abduleau celebrated a special milestone in their relationship on Sunday, 2 July 2023.
The product of the Transnet School of Excellence and his wife Awa Pienaar have officially been married for two years.
As expected, one of them has taken to their official social media account where they celebrated this special occasion.

On Sunday evening, Steven Pienaar’s wife Awa Pienaar took to her Instagram account where she shared a series of photos where she relived their Moroccan themed wedding ceremony which was held in Ibiza in Spain in 2021 when it marked their second wedding ceremony.
As part of her caption, the mother of five wrote, “Today 2 years ago #weddingvibes #fridaynight #moroccovibes #ibiza2021”. Meanwhile, as of late, a number of Awa Pienaar’s fans and followers have taken to the comment section where they congratulated the couple on their second wedding anniversary.

Former Bafana Bafana captain Steven Pienaar who participated at the 2002 and 2010 FIFA World Cups, the latter on home soil, is one of the few footballers in the football fraternity in South Africa who earned atleast 50 caps in the national team setup of South Africa.
According to his player profile on German website , “Schillo” as he was affectionately known as during his playing days earned 62 international caps in the national team setup of South Africa and he rattled the back of the net 3 times before hanging up his soccer boots in July 2018.
