The controversy began when Angela Okorie, another Nollywood actress and singer, accused Anita Joseph and Uche Elendu of spreading news about her accident a few months prior. Angela Okorie specifically claimed that Anita Joseph was cheating on her husband while pretending to be a devout Christian. However, Michael Olagunju Fisayo defended his wife against these allegations.
In response to the accusations, Michael Olagunju took to his Instagram story and expressed that if someone accuses another person, they should provide evidence to support their claims. He emphasized that the burden of proof lies with the accuser and not the accused.
The businessman stated that the accuser must prove the guilt of the accused beyond a reasonable doubt. He cited the example of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, who presented substantial evidence in court to prove his victory in the 2023 election.
