Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, has echoed the statement issued by his Interior and National Administration counterpart Professor Kithure Kindiki over the alleged distribution of firearms to support the Anti-government protests called by former prime minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party.
Taking to his official social media pages, the tough talking Cabinet Secretary claimed that during the two days Demonstrations, it was shown clearly that the protests were not the normal ones but were criminal activities financed by known criminals.
The Cabinet Secretary claimed that the said financers are out to Potray the police in bad light and this was seen during the three days demos. He also claimed that the said criminals are out to cripple the Kenya Kwanza Government.
However, the tough talking Cabinet Secretary warned that as a government they will do everything possible to ensure that the criminals are punished.
He warned that they will even break doors to flush out the criminals.
“The level of violence witnessed across the country in the past three days cannot be as a result of spontaneous reaction by the protestors.” He said
“It is a well orchestrated and financed plot by known criminals, masquerading as political leaders and security personnel. Their scheme is to cripple Government operations and portray the Police Service in bad light.” He added.
The tough talking Cabinet Secretary warned the said criminals that their days are numbered
“We are telling them that their days are numbered. If it takes breaking doors to flush them out, we will.” He said.
In his statement, professor Kindiki confirmed that there is an ongoing operation in search of Ilegal firearms. This was just hours after Police allegedly tried to access former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son’s home in Karen
