The talks between Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition and Kenya Kwanza is set to officially kick off on Monday 14 August. As a matter of fact, the cost of living which is a major concern in the country righ now has been left out by the Kenya Kwanza team, of President William Samoei Ruto.
Explaining why it happens so, Kakamega County Senator, Hon. Boni Khalwale has this morning revelaed why it was left out in a the agendas for discussion by President William Ruto’s team.
Khalwale while in the interview at Citizen TV this morning said that the high cost of living cannot be reduced by talking hence it’s not a matter of discussion during the bipartisan talks.
He said that a way of addressing the matter if high cost of living, people should work and reduce their appetite for borrowing. He said that President William Ruto is now focusing on settling the debts that former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga borrowed during the jubilee party second term.
Khalwale said that lowering the fertilizers costs from Sh. 7000 to sh. 2500 is another way that the Kenya Kwanza Government has tried to reduce the cost of living since farmers can now grow crops to get food.
He said that the Kenya Kwanza Government led by President William Ruto is trying their best to lower the cost of living by prudent management of the public debt.
