Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition has broken its silence after the National Assembly passed the Finance Bill without amending key clauses such as increasing fuel VAT tax and the housing fund.
While addressing the media, the opposition coalition hit out at President William Samoei Ruto accusing him of oppressing Kenyans with his Finance Bill. They also said that they have learned the hard way that Kenya Kwanza Alliance can ignore the Kenyans and their feelings, fears, hopes, circumstances, and aspirations by forcing its agenda on the people.
Martha Karua also while addressing the media made more allegations about President William Samoei Ruto saying that his Finance Bill only wants to make life for his allies smooth. She added that the budget only wants to make his people live large and eat well. She stated that the majority of deals in the Budget are directly linked to President William Samoei Ruto’s allies.
The opposition also went ahead and declared that they will have a public rally next week to declare the way forward after the Finance Bill sailed through in the National Assembly. Martha Karua said that the people will decide the future during the upcoming rally.
All attention will now focus on Azimio la Umoja to see what they will say next week as far as mass action is concerned and demonstrations are concerned.
