Even as Azimio continues to mobilize its supporters and leaders ahead of the three day protests, leaders and especially those allied to the Kenya Kwanza Government have condemned the move with many even terming the move as similar to an attempted coup.
The President on the other hand has remained firm and insisted that he will not be intimidated and will handle the demonstrators in the best way possible even as they protest along the streets of Nairobi.
In his message to Kenyans this afternoon, Raila Odinga asked his supporters to prepare for the three day protest set to begin on Wednesday will the way to Friday.
Reacting to the sentiments by the Azimio leader, Kukuyu Member of Parliament Hon Kimani Ichungwa has told off the former Prime Minister and even insisted that him together with his sponsors to be ready. According to Ichungwa, violence will no more be tolerated and the Government is ready to deal and contain the situation.
‘Umetuchosha pia’, You and your sponsor be ready too. Blackmail this time will take you Nowhere. You shall have no more bloodshed and no more looting of our businesses.” Stated the Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa.
Even as Azimio prepares for the three day demonstration, it is not clear what the Government will do to contain the situation. The President vowed to deal with the protestors severely and Kenyans are still anxious waiting to see how the events will begin to unfold in the protests.
