Former President Uhuru’s renowned bouncer, Billy Arocho, has decamped from Jubilee party to join the Ruto-led UDA party. Arocho was part of the Nairobi team that joined UDA party on Monday, alongside former MP Elizabeth Ongoro.
Billy Arocho was working as president Uhuru’s private security man when he was serving as president. During rallies, Arocho played a huge role in dispersing crowd to create a way for the president’s convoy.
It is still not clear why Arocho took that unpopular stand to dump Uhuru for Ruto. 
“This afternoon, UDA Party reaped big as Nairobi political stalwart, Sen Elizabeth Ongoro decamped from ODM to join UDA. She defected alongside other leaders, who have been holding key positions in the orange Democratic Party. Other leaders present included; Hon. Evans Kidero, Hon. Odoyo Owidi, Hon Betty Adera, Hon. Billy Arocho amongst others.” Posted UDA after receiving the defectors.
Speaking after joining UDA, Ongoro accused her former party leader, Raila Odinga, of misusing the youth during protests while himself goes to hiding.
“I have refused to be part of Raila Odinga’s scheme of misusing the young people of this country. Raila has been using the youth as his sacrificial lamb to maintain his political relevance. He calls them for demonstrations and then he goes to hiding,” noted Ongoro. (Watch video from 4 min).
“We are tired of swimming upstream against the political tides every election year and losing. In UDA, we are now home.” Said Ongoro.
