Youths have sent a stern warning to Nairobi Governor Johnston Sakaja informing him that they will no re-elect him in 2027.
While speaking in a forum in Jacaranda ground, one of the youths stated that Sakaja has lost the electorate support and that he will be voted out in 2027 because he allegedly betrayed those who voted for him in 2022.
The youth stated that they voted for Sakaja in 2022 because they thought that he was one of their tribesmen only to realise later that Sakaja is allegedly a Kalenjin.
He went ahead and stated that the Nairobi Governor should rally Kalenjins from Kericho to vote for him in the 2027 gubernatorial race.
He further stated that youths in Jacaranda will stand with Tim Wanyonyi the current Westlands MP saying that he is equal to the task.
“Sakaja has no ground. We voted for him thinking that he was a Luyha only to realise later that he was a Kalenjin. If he thinks he is a Kalenjin, let him in 2027 bring Kalenjins from Kericho to vote for him because as for us in 2027, we will stand with Tim Wanyonyi. He is the one who is equal to the task. Last time we wanted to vote for him (Tim Wanyonyi) but Uhuru confused us to vote for someone who is not even educated. So this time round, we will vote for Tim Wanyonyi,” said one of the political commentators at Jacaranda grounds.
