The Azimio One Kenya Alliance Coalition team led by the former Prime Minister Hon Raila Amollo Odinga and the former head of state Hon Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta were joined by other key leaders in Karen, Nairobi County for requiem mass following the deaths that resulted due to police brutality.
In the fund drive towards the affected families, the Former Prime Minister Hon Raila Amollo Odinga pledged Kshs 500k towards the initiative as the former head of state promised the same amount. However, the DAP-K Party leader Hon Eugene Wamalwa pledged Kshs 200k.
The Wiper Party leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka added that many leaders are still sending their contributions and the people need to join them in Pushing for the movement so that they can offer their support towards the affected.
He urged all the leaders to come together so that they can create peace because it is now time to forget their differences and focus on change through seeking the wisdom from the Lord. He made it clear that the clergy will continue fighting for peace.
