State House Top Official Sends Morning Message to Kalonzo Over Azimio’s Wednesday, July 26 Protests

State House Director of Coordination and Former KBC Journalist Bonnie Musambi has implored upon the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to reconsider taking part in anti-government protests.

Kalonzo while leading a section of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance leaders over the weekend announced that the coalition will stage demos against the high cost of living by President William Ruto’s government on Wednesday July 26.

In his remarks, Kalonzo urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers from 6am to 6pm, remain peaceful and make their voices heard.

Taking to his Twitter account on Monday, Musambi opined that the protests have nothing to do with the cost of living, but political interests, telling the Ukambani kingpin that he will only end up being conned.

“You are a good man, your excellency! Please reconsider this violence path you are taking; it’s not good for you because you’ll only end up being conned, sir.”

Musambi’s remarks comes a day after a section of residents from Kitui, Makueni and Machakos counties criticized the protests, saying they are inconveniencing their day to day lives and should be halted.2da0b1e30f8e402eac955a45e1e80d47?quality=uhq&resize=720

Others held the view that President Ruto should be given time to deliver on his agenda, and should he fail, then the opposition can use his shortcomings during the 2027 polls.

Different political and religious leaders have however urged President Ruto and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to climb down their bold stances and sit down for the sake of the country.

President Ruto and leaders from the Kenya Kwanza Alliance have dismissed the dialogue calls, arguing that Raila is using the same old tricks to win a share of the government, and it was not going to work.
