About the office of the opposition leaders being funded by taxpayers, my stand is clear: that’s burdening taxpayers. Instead let the funds be channeled to Uwezo Fund so that the funds can help the youth, women, and people living with disabilities to run SMEs hence improving their living standards. Let’s note that it is due to Raila’s selfishness that he fathered the 2010 constitution, and since he saw that he was to succeed Mwai Kibaki and wanted to run the government like his own yard.
The problem with how Kenya makes laws. We conflict with long-term issues with current short-term ones. It’s the same reason we can’t fight corruption we trivialize it down to individuals and tribes. The older generation truly failed Kenyans. The architect of COK2010 saw it fit to do away with such offices. What happens when the head of state goes ahead to poach opposition legislators,(which you always cheer), and has an iron hand on others’ arms of govt?
We would rather fund a Fertiliser plant in Kenya or a Plate and cup manufacturing plant in Kenya. We should have shuttle diplomacy with the US, Europe, and Russia to establish at least some industries in Kenya. We watch as they move them to Vietnam from China etc Why import Fertiliser? Why do we need to go for election and still accommodate losers Kwa gave? why will Ruto and his co trash kenyans waliamka kupiga kura hii design? This is utterly disrespectful and stupid.
That he forgot to propose the inclusion of opposition leaders’ offices funded by the government. Since the opposition has both senators and MPs, those should be the ones keeping the government on its toes and not losers, and lords of violence who don’t accept election results now and again.
She calls herself an advocate! The big looter. What is she advocating for when she can’t resist facts? We also know about ‘her’ grabbed land. It is just a matter of time. These piecemeal amendments are useless. This country requires a stop to tribal duopoly, equal representation, end to winner-take-all skunk. Otherwise, there will be trouble ahead. The voices of secession must not be taken lightly.
