President William Ruto could be forced to go back to the drawing board should a prediction by former Mandera county senator Billow Kerrow come true.
While Speaking in an exclusive Interviews with a local media house, Kerrow predicted that the court might declare the entire Finance act 2023 Null and Void.
Kerrow advised the head of state and his Government to be prepared for anything including the possibility of the entire act being thrown out.
Kerrow explained that Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has a very strong case against the Government which could see him emerge Victorious. According to Kerrow, the Government went wrong by allegedly sneaking in some more Provisions into the bill during the Committee stage. He noted that Omtatah captured this in his case.
“The government should look at the possibility that the courts have the power to throw out the whole Finance Act 2023, particularly with the issue regarding amendments that were sneaked in after the committee stage.” He said.
