Opposition chief Raila Odinga receives some morning bad news as report shows that his close ally, the former Kakamega governor Wickliffe Oparanya was arrested and grilled by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission of Kenya for more than six hours in their offices over mismanagement of public finances during his tenure as a government.
This comes after the EACC accused Opadanya of mismanaging upto 1.4B Kenyan shillings during his first time as Kakamega governor between 2013/2014 financial year as the money could not be accounted for by both the county government and the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission.
However, the former Kakamega county boss who is also the ODM deputy party leader has rubbishes the claims adding that they are politically motivated maintaining that where were the EACC to question the use of such monies where the have to go for him one year after leaving office for the new governor.
