“Raila Doesn’t Have Weapons” Top Mt Kenya Politician Blames Gov’t Over Chaos, Says What Must Be Done

President William Ruto’s government has been accused of causing the chaos being Witnessed during the protests across the country.

While Speaking in an exclusive Interviews with a local media house, Mt Kenya politician Ribathi Gichuke claimed that it is the Government that is using excessive force on Protestors who are expressing themselves.

According to him, the former prime minister does not posses the weapons used during these demonstrations but it is the Government releasing the weapons to be used on peaceful Demonstrators.

Ribathi noted that Government does not have any option but to address the issues being raised by the common citizens explaining that focusing on the former prime minister will not help calm the situation.

He explained that even if the former prime minister is given a government job, the demonstrations over the cost of living will still continue therefore government must find a solution for the rising cost of living.

For him, the former prime minister is a symptom of the disease and instead of government focusing on the symptom they should find the root cause and cure it.

“Raila does not have water cannons, tear gas or bullets, it is the government of the day that is creating chaos and ought to stop. Even if Raila was given a position today, unga will still cost more and Kenyans will still be agitated and continue expressing themselves.” The politician said

His remarks come a day after the country Witnessed chaotic protests in which lives were lost, people injured and property destroyed.
