Prof Alfred Amenya Reacts To DP’s Machakos Statement on Ruto-Raila Talks

The deputy president of the republic of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua early this week made an earthshaking revelations about the talks between president William Samoei Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Speaking In a funeral in Machakos county, the second in command dismissed the current bi-partisan talks led by wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and the majority leader in the national assembly kimani Ichungwa, terming them as a waste of time because Raila was sorted out during a meeting with Ruto in Mombasa.

Political analyst professor Alfred omenya who reacted to Gachagua’s statement said that although he doesn’t like Gachagua, he is right by saying that the bipartisan talks won’t yield any fruits at all.

Speaking to NTV on Thursday night, omenya said that nothing tangible that can come from the talks that are taking place at Bomas.

“I don’t like DP Gachagua too much but I think he’s right. The talks will not be consequential”, said professor Alfred Amenya.

Some kenyans who reacted online agreed with the professor that indeed the deputy president doesn’t mince his words.

Samwel: I wouldn’t call him(theDP), a son of the soil , but every time he opens his mouth, you know he won’t be mincing his words. He has nothing but utter contempt for the opposition. He will be a hard sell when he goes for the presidency.
