Although President William Ruto has been trying his best to make Kenyans happy since he took over power, things have never been that smooth for him. That is because he has been facing a strong opposition from the Azimio camp led by Raila Odinga who has even been mounting dangerous demonstrations and protests in the country.
The good thing is that in recent days, Baba’s camp has been going slow on President William Ruto’s government after they decided to engage in bipartisan talks but today, President William Ruto and his government faced another backlash after Kenyans protested heavily against the Unemployment Insurance Bill only that this time, the protests were online and not in the streets with stones.
According to Tuko through their official Twitter account, Kenyans have strongly opposed the proposed introduction of a new levy that will see them contribute 1% of their pay to the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
