Following the latest news, the government of president William Ruto have withdrawn the security details of Azimio coalition Principals with only one day remaining to their three days national wide demonstrations. President William Ruto had earlier warned that he will not allow any bloodshed and destruction of properties from the Azimio coalition leaders by the name of peaceful demonstrations.
Amongst the leaders that the security details have been withdrawn includes Odm party leader and Azimio coalition Principal hon Raila Odinga, Governor James Orengo, Wiper Party and fellow Azimio coalition Principal hon Kalonzo Musyoka amongst others. However, Raila Odinga and his team have vowed to continue with the demonstrations despite what they termed as the intimidations by Kenya Kwanza government under president William Ruto.
Their unrelenting move by the principals to continue with the demonstrations despite the position of the government is the likely reason why the principals security details have been withdrawn. It’s not for the first time the principals security details have been withdrawn as previous regimes has seen the same injustice unto them.
Kenyans are now eagerly waiting to see how situations will unfold bearing in mind that Raila Odinga had expressed fear that the government had a plan to assassinate him.
