Political Analyst Herman Manyora Demands More Answers As KK Govt Deducts The Housing Tax

Now that the government has deducted the housing tax(in arrears), the discussion must move from why the tax, to HOW the tax will be used. What exactly does government intend to use the levy for. That’s the question. And that’s where the scandal lies. The scam, the fraud is easy to see.

Houses are to be built by private investors, as a business. Government can provide land. Free, existing land which is available throughout the country. The fraud is to be found in the government buying land. And awarding tenders In what is clearly private business.

How about low costing, some may ask. The low price is to be a factor of free land. And services and utilities? These should be provided by way of private engagements between the providers and the developers with the government only coming in to provide some form of guarantee whenever needed.
