In a move to take the defiant Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba, the Head of State Dr William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua have now crafted fresh moves.
As confirmed by Nation media on Wednesday 28, the President has decided to shift his support to area MP Kago Wa Lydia. Recently, the MP directly received Kshs 2 million from the Head of State to support the refurbishment of Kanjai Primary school in Githunguri.
The former MP is reported to be the best choice President Ruto has decided to use to strengthen his political jaws in the region, ignoring Hon Wamuchomba who defied him and voted against the 2023 finance bill at the National Assembly last week.
At the same time, Hon Kago has now been given a direct access to key government ministries, a move that’s literally unusual. Just days ago, Hon Kago met with Labour Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore where she discussed development projects in Githunguri.
At the same time, the former legislature is expected to pay a courtesy visit to the Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen as well as the Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi to discuss relative matters.
