Cabinet secretary for ICT Eliud Owalo has announced when the country will have new government Spokesperson to take over from Colonel (Rtd) Cyrus Oguna who had left the position and joined Siaya County government as Chief of Staff.

According to the CS, the country will have a new government Spokesperson in two weeks time.

Malala had that the government is currently doing many projects across the country impacting positively on the society but the communication from the government has been missing.

“I think this is as a result of you(CS Owalo) not taking up that role of disseminating government information not only in your ministry but also other ministries.” Malala remarked.

The office of the government Spokesperson has been vacant since the former government Spokesperson Colonel (Rtd) Cyrus Oguna left the role and was tapped by Siaya County Governor James Orengo to be the chief of staff.
