Demos have broken out in the Zambian capital of Lilongwe as angry citizens take to the streets, demands for the resignation of the President.
According to the information shared by our source, protestors led by anti-government activist Bon Kalindo demonstrated against President Lazurus Chakwera and blocked roads near the Lilongwe Community Ground calling for the resignation of President Lazarus Chakwera.
According to the video seen by this writer,the protesters engaged the police in running battles with the police forced to use teargas canisters.
According to the information shared, the angry protesters are accusing President Chakwera of economic mismanagement and a sharp rising cost of living.
It is reported that the Zambian President, Chakwera came into power accompanied by international and local goodwill, but his reign has been underwhelming, corrupt, nepotism and known for its grand incompetence.

It should be noted that similar demos was witnessed in the country recently where Azimio leaders rallied Kenyans to protest over high cost of living. The Kenyan demos have however been called off.
