Nairobi: KANU Politician Hints At What Ruto Could Offer Raila If They Dialogue Ahead Of 2027

Nairobi-based Kenya African National Union (KANU) politician Weston Wanjohi has now hinted at what president Dr William Ruto could offer former prime minister Raila Odinga if they decide to dialogue ahead 2027 general election.

Speaking through his Facebook page, Wanjohi revealed that Ruto might entice Raila with a number of goodies including being given the office of the official opposition leader. He quipped to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader that the Head of State could give him privileges akin to those he enjoyed when he became Kenya’s prime minister in 2008 defunct Grand Coalition Government, besides being made official opposition coalition boss through a constitutional amendment. “William Samoei Ruto is an open hearted person….he will give you a bone to bite, red carpet and toilet but maybe as leader of the opposition,” said Wanjohi.

This comes after president Ruto invited Raila for a one-on-one dialogue at any time when the latter comes back from a high level meeting in Tanzania.

The prospective dialogue comes as the country undergoes intensive political activities where the opposition and the government are antagonizing over the current bad socioeconomic situation.ec49ffecbd714350995d78289f89a3d2?quality=uhq&resize=720
