Having agreed to involve former Nigerian president Obasanjo in the bipartisan talks, it seems prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi id against the plan.

This is according to a report covered on Monday’s People Daily publication which indicates that Mudavadi has struck a hardline note ahead of today’s talks.

As per the report, Mudavadi is against Obasanjo’s involvment in the talks by saying that the country is not in crisis.

According to Mudavadi, Kenya does not need an international mediator to chair a five agenda meeting putting in mind that the country has a duly elected president and working cabinet.

” Kenya is not a failed state. It has a fully elected president and working cabinet. In fact, we would like Obasanjo to exercise his expertise in Niger “, Mudavadi said.93a23f53609941af8005c28410811fa9?quality=uhq&resize=720cb9a39b2fdd2491c9859b86c92db2ca6?quality=uhq&resize=720

His statement comes off as Obasanjo is expected to chair talks between Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s dialogue committee and that of Ruto’s government from today.

The agreement to have Obasanjo was allegedly geared up by international community which pressurized the former prime minister Raila Odinga and president William Ruto to put their heads together and end the political tension in the country.
