A lot has been said following the coming of the United States senator into Kenya. There has been a major dilemma as people wonder what exactly could have brought the senator in Kenya. It is said that when demos were heated a few weeks ago, the senator was also in Kenya to witness. This time, he again came and secretly met Raila in a closed door meeting.
According to some sources, it is alleged that Raila was actually taking him through the topics of dialogue with Kenya Kwanza. He also went ahead and told him about the issue of police brutality during demos that ha left very many people dead. It is said that Azimio has already written to ICC over the matter. The Azimio la Umoja is really fighting hard to see Ruto’s government sued to ICC and subjected to court hearing.
Saying the opposition is ready for the talks chaired by Wiper Party boss Kalonzo Musyoka and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Mr Odinga asked Dr Ruto to stop “reckless rhetoric”.
“It is unfortunate Ruto has resorted to shouting when addressing Kenyans, telling them ‘Nitawakalia ngumu, hawajaniona, tutawakanyaga (I will be hard on them, they have not seen my true colours, we will step on them)’,” Mr Odinga said at Othoo SDA Church in Kisumu.
While asking Azimio la Umoja supporters to accept that Ruto is the president, Omollo said many of the supporters believe the fallacy that their leader Raila Odinga can take over power from President.”We have only one government in Kenya headed by President Ruto. Nobody should think of any other person,” Omollo said.
