On Saturday, Luo leaders continued with the the Cultural Festival which entered its second day. A number of leaders from the Luo Nyanza region attended the event which is being presided over by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
However, leaders from Mombasa county also joined the event that also attracted a number of Residents.
The leaders from Mombasa county were led by governor Abdulswamad Nassir, a close Ally of former prime minister Raila Odinga and a member of the Orange Democratic Movement party. The governor took to his official social media pages to update Kenyans on their arrival to the event.
The first time Governor was accompanied his Deputy Francis Thoya, the Speaker of the Mombasa county Assembly Aharub Khatri, Likoni Constituency member of parliament Mishi Mboko, Jomvu member of parliament Hon Bady Twalib, and Kiasauni member of parliament Rashid Bedzimba.
The governor expressed excitement after landing in the lakeside city for the event.
“I am happy to join Baba Raila Odinga and other leaders in this celebration of Kenyan cultural diversity” he said.
