The opposition leader Raila Odinga’s de facto, Fredrick Okango, has reached out to the purge that has hit the Orange Democratic Movement party rebels.

In the latest meeting convened by the opposition leader and the head of Azimio, the ODM has expelled Tom Ojienda, Phelix Odiwuor aka Jalango, Elisha Odhiambo, Caroli Omondi, and Gideon Ochanda from the party. Esther Passaris was fined Sh250,000 for supporting Finance Bill 2023.

However, according to Mr. Okang’o, the Lang’ata residents should give him the privilege of being their member of parliament following the firing of Phelix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o. He has further stated that the matter will be dealt with in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
