University of Nairobi professor, Prof. Herman Manyora, has claimed that the Kikuyu community’s political influence has diminished after voting for William Ruto as the fifth President of Kenya.

Manyora shared his views on social media, stating that the Kikuyu’s political prominence eroded when they permitted Ruto to become the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Manyora also remarked that the political significance of the Mt. Kenya region has waned as a result of their support for Ruto and their surrender of business dominance to the Somali community.

Prof. Herman Manyora also suggested that a candidate from the Luhya community has a strong possibility of winning the presidency if they choose a Somali individual as their running mate. According to him, the Luhya community could come to power in Kenya by selecting a Muslim deputy.20113fcbe86b47948db48074f73ad625?quality=uhq&resize=720

He continued by stating that the Kikuyu community’s influence has diminished, partly due to their support for Ruto, and also because Governor Irungu Kangata mentioned that the Somali community has taken over the economy.

“Luhya will take over power in this country. They will achieve this by picking a Muslim deputy. The Kikuyu are finished, first by allowing Ruto to swallow them, and, secondly, as Governor Irungu Kangata says, the Somali have snatched the economy from them. Kwisha Kikuyu,” Manyora stated.
