In a statement that is still eliciting reactions among Kenyans, president Ruto vowed recently that he will not spare cartels. Even before he assumed the office as the head of state, Ruto had always been seen sending a warning to people who he termed as economic criminals.

However, this has not gone well with Azimio la Umoja bigwig, Martha Karua. The deputy party leader of Azimio la Umoja party jas went gun blazing at reports that the president is keen in tackling corruption. According to her, Ruto should start by himself before looking for corrupt individuals.
