KANU Secretary-general Reacts To Alleged Raid At Uhuru’s Son’s Home, Sends A Strong Message

Kenyans and politicians allied to the Opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party, have continued to criticize the Government over the raid at former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s eldest son which happened on Friday night.

The latest to react to the reported raid is former Baringo county senator Gideon Moi’s KANU which has equally condemned it.

Through the party’s Secretary-general George Wainaina, the party noted that the founding President’s family should not be targeted by the current regime.

The tough talking Wainaina noted that the pioneer first lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta and former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s children should be treated with respect and should not be humiliated with this current regime.

Wainaina noted that the former first lady and former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s children are not in anyway related to the current Anti-government protests being led by former prime minister Raila Odinga and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party team.

“The Kenyatta family, especially Mama Ngina and Uhuru Kenyatta’s son, should be treated with respect and not subjected to humiliation. As a member of the Kikuyu community, I urge the current government to cease its efforts to frustrate the Kenyatta family.” He posted on his official social media pages.

“They are unrelated to the ongoing protests and should be left alone. Respect is of utmost importance.” He added.

The reports of the raid made headlines when the former head of state went to his son’s home physically to confirm this. And while addressing the media, the former president expressed anger with the Government noting that he is being targeted for no reason.
