All Kenyan people living in prestigious local and regional locations have received a key mid-morning warning letter from the Kenyan government.

The Kenyan Government announced today, August 15, 2023, through the Office of Data Protection Commission that anyone found infringing the institutionalized Data Protection Law envisioned in the Kenyan 2010 Constitution will be fined Ksh5 Million.

The Kenyan government has said that it is illegal to use another person’s personal information without that person’s agreement. If found guilty, the above-mentioned statutory standards about the planned penalty for violating the aforementioned Law would be applied.

The Kenyan Government revealed that all Kenyan nationals should give their consent before their personal information is used by companies, people, or any other group in Kenya or overseas.
