Just In: Gachagua Responds After Azimio’s Battle with IG Koome over ICC Petition

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has swiftly responded after IG Japhet Koome engaged in battle with Opposition leaders over their petition to ICC.

Speaking in his home county, Gachagua told off the opposition over their recent move to petition the International Criminal Court (ICC) to probe Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome regarding alleged police excesses during protests.

On Tuesday, Koome accused Azimio of hiring death to intensify their case at ICC.

In response, Raila dismissed the allegations confirming that those who died had bullet wounds.

The talks are aimed at resolving the impasse between the government and the opposition after a spate of protests that have led to loss of lives and injuries to innocent Kenyans.

President William Ruto has maintained that they are only open for talks and to even agree with the Opposition on issues bedeviling the country and nothing else.
