Having been involved in a fight with Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government, the former president Uhuru Kenyatta has been given a call by party members from Embu.
As relayed by a report covered KBC, the party members now wants the former head of state to consider handing over power to party’s new Officials.
According to them, the constitution renders Uhuru Kenyatta’s involvment in jubilee party as null and void and therefore he should give powers to nominated member of parliament Hon Sabina Chege who was elected as the acting party leader by Kanini Kega’s faction.
“Jubilee Party Members from Embu County call on former President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider handing over the party to new officials”, the report intimates.
This comes following Uhuru Kenyatta’s war with President William Ruto where he is accusing the current head of state of raiding jubilee party and wanting it to ditch Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition.
