“This nonsense about CASs being paid too much money is far from the truth. 50 CASs earning an average of Sh. 700,000 is nothing in this budget. It is a drop in the sea. You are not looking at the value they are bringing.” The former Kisii Deputy governor said.24f1c7d396c44735b2321ec674b1f0a0?quality=uhq&resize=720

However, Kenyans were quick to tell off the former Deputy governor with majority insisting that there is no value the Chief Administrative Secretaries would add to the Government. Those who reacted also Insisted that the amount that would be paid to the chief Administrative Secretaries is huge and can be channelled to some other projects. Below are some of the comments by Kenyans:

Mahbub: The Cabinet secretaries and Principal secretaries are enough. CAS will add Zero value. Yes, by high Court dismissing the irrelevant CAS, over 5B taxpayers money will now be saved annually.

Muthoni Delima: They should do other jobs and earn that ‘drop in the sea’. They must have so many options.

S N Nyamora: What value will someone like Maangi bring?. Even one CAS is a total waste of our hard earned taxes. The constitution doesn’t envisage the CAS nonsense.

Paul Mboya: If they are of value, why weren’t they considered as important in the constitution design?.
