The former senator for Kakamega has sent a short message to Kenyans soon after Phelix Odour a.k.a Jalang’o, Tom Ojienda, Elisha Odhiambo, Caroli Omondi and Gideon Ochanda were expelled from ODM party by its National Executive Council (NEC).
Taking to his X account today evening, SG Cleophas Malala has condemned the Raila Odinga led party for treating what he termed as democracy, freedom of thought and association as a capital offence.
Malala slammed the Orange Democratic Movement party, mockingly refering to it as ‘Orange Dictatorship Movement.
“Orange Dictatorship Movement (ODM) where democracy, freedom of thought and association is a capital offence,” he wrote.
Malala was trying to insinuate that the move by the Opposition main party is dictatorial since the victims were not given an opportunity to associate with whoever they wish in the political scene.
In a move that was released to the media today, others who were affected are: Esther Passaris who was fined 250 000 for supporting the financial bill 2023, and two other legislators who were fined one million each for other offences.
