It is now clear that the security of all the Azimio leaders led by Rt. Honourable Raila Odinga was withdrawn intentionally by the government as according to Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
While speaking to media houses, Gachagua revealed the intelligence the government received that immediately led to withdrawal of their security.
According to him, the government received information on how Azimio could stage an unpeaceful demos which he argues that the more manpower from the police was seriously needed to curb the protestors which prompted the government to withdraw their security.
“Police officers were withdrawn from Azimio because we needed more officers to deal with the protests” Gachagua said.
He further adds that the police officers will never return to give security to Azimio until 3 months elapses. He therefore further gives conditions to Azimio that the security will only be restored if they assure Kenyans that there will be no maandamano anymore.
