Professor Herman Manyora is one of the political analysts who have been openly pointing out mistakes made by the government and the opposition.
Speaking in an interview, Manyora claimed that he would send Raila home if he was William Ruto to ease the tension in the country.
The political analyst claimed that President William Ruto is politicking more than he is working for the people who elected him.
That the political situation in the country is bad and investors are running away because what is going on looks like a campaign period.
According to Manyora, President Ruto still has a huge following despite people suffering because of the applauses he gets whenever he calls for a rally.
Manyora mentioned a number of tactics he would use to send Raila home if he was President Ruto to end politics and focus on working.
That he would reduce the cost of electricity, fuel, and put on hold projects with less urgency like building of roads.
Manyora said, “If I was Ruto I would just send Raila home. I would just bring down the cost of electricity by 40%, reduce price of diesel from Ksh 180 to Ksh 140. He does not have to injure the economy. I have seen Murkomen and Gachagua busy talking about roads, why do you want to build new roads?”
Manyora went further to state that what the president should focus on now is how to reduce the price of oil, electricity, staple food and increase production to create employment.
He also suggested that the president should revise the finance act and remove unnecessary taxes like the housing levy to reduce the burden on the citizens.
According to Manyora, if Ruto does all this Raila will go home because he will have nothing to protest about.
