The President today landed in Coast for 5 day tour in the region that will see a number of projects commissioned. William Ruto donned a shirt with drawings which might raise controversy among a section of Kenyans.
Remember fashion for persons occupying high offices is important and key. For instance , a fashion expert advises that “Wearing formal attire makes leaders appear more prototypical but not charismatic. Violating cultural dress codes makes leaders appear charismatic and garner approval. Leaders can actively shape their appeal through their choice of attire.”

President Ruto arrived in the coast region donned in a casual outfit, dropping the Kaunda suit which he has been wearing a lot in the recent past . However hawk eyed Kenyans have spotted drawings in the shirt. In the shirt worn by the President there drawings of small things that resembled bhang leaves.
This leaves many wondering what the President’s fashion designer wanted to portray in the head of state’s attire. Was he trying to send a message about legalization of bhang? Remember Bhang is illegal in the country and some such as Wajackoyah have been advocating for it’s legalization. What’s your thoughts?
