The Head of State Dr William Ruto has now sent a tough warning to the opposition side on Monday. The president was speaking during a meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) where he was launching the Boda Boda Care.
He affirmed that he’s ready to deal with the Raila Odinga-led Azimio La Umoja coalition with regard to the recent demonstration threats. As confirmed by Citizen TV journalist Seth Olale, the President has said the Azimio is literally trying him and he’ll unleash a firm stance if need arises.
The Azimio side has been threatening to take action against the Kenya Kwanza administration over the 2023 Finance Bill which the President signed into law earlier today. According to the opposition boss, the bill composes taxes which it describes as punitive and are likely to press Kenyans harder.
On the other side, the government has insisted that the taxation proposals are meant to increase revenue for development and economic recovery while eying to reduce the rates of unemployment.
