Amidst threats of mass action by Azimio La Umoja camp, Kenya Kwanza has made a quick move in a bid to counter Azimio La Umoja’s plan to execute their plans of mass action. Azimio politicians on Tuesday congregated at the Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi even as they sought way forward following the assenting of the finance bill into law by the President.
Kenya Kwanza has now called for a meeting, calling for the resumption of the bipartisan talks that had stalled since the previous month. The government now wants the bipartisan talks to resume in order to reach amicable solutions between the two political factions, this is also aimed at quenching the fierce call for demonstrations by the Azimio La Umoja hierarchy.
Few days ago Azimio La Umoja led by it’s leader Raila Odinga threatened to resume mass action against the finance bill which is currently a law. Azimio cited different weakness and demerits in the finance bill, calling on the government to withdraw it, failure to which they would hold demonstrations.
