The minority leader in the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi has asked president William Ruto to give Kenyans food today and they will leave the streets. He is clear that, the high cost of food is the biggest reason as to why Kenyans have refused to leave the streets.

Wandayi has affirmed that Kenyans want cheap food today and they will abandon the demonstrations. He is clear that the ongoing demonstrations are not about Raila Odinga but they are largely motivated by the high cost of basic commodities across the country.

Opiyo Wandayi has reminded president William Ruto that, Kenyans do not care of whether he is legitimate or not but are focused on cheap food. Wandayi wants the president to know that Kenyans are suffering and if their issues are not sorted out, Ruto’s stay in power will be shortlived.
