The burial ceremony was infact attended by Shatta Bway’s fellow presenters at Radio Citizen like Jeridah Andayi, Melody Sinzore and Ann ‘Q-Tee’ Muthoni among others. Also his bosses at RMS attended.
Multi-talented media personality Willis Raburu, who has recently called it quits with the Royal Media Services (RMS) also graced the burial.
At the event, Shatta Bway’s and the late Becky’s daughter was the one who read her eulogy, and she showered her with praises for being the best mum as seen in the video from 3:15-3:21.
Shatta Bway also used the occasion to reminisce how he met his late wife Becky for the first time, courted her, and how she finally accepted him to be the love of her life.
According to the Wakstikitaka show host, he was attracted to Becky when they were still young, and he made his move on her when he was a teenager.
Shatta Bway disclosed how he used to be courageous to the point that he used to go at Becky’s home, where she used to live with her uncle, so as to just talk to her.
So one day his uncle came out and caught them talking in the night. Seeing him, she quickly ran away leaving Shatta Bway to face her uncle.
When asked what he wanted, the radio presenter made it clear to the uncle that he came to look for a wife.
What later followed is Shatta Bway and Becky starting doing some business together, both at the age of just 18 years old.
The business led to them leaving together in Nanyuki, but they later moved on to Nairobi where they later got to start life together as a couple.
Shatta Bway infact praised Becky for how she was instrumental in his growth, because she was the one that was with him through thick and thin when he began his life as an adult.
