President William Ruto’s allies have called out Azimio leader Raila Odinga after he remained silent days after issuing threats to resume protests.
MP Ndindi Nyoro said Raila should go back to streets if he wants. In fact, he said Azimio should hold demonstrations tomorrow on Thursday.
He, however advised Raila that President William Ruto won’t be pressured to share his government.
“If you want to go back to the streets, stop issuing threats. Get out tomorrow and hold demonstrations…” Nyoro said.
Ruto on Tuesday fired back at opposition chief Raila Odinga over threats to resume protests, warning that the state will clamp down on any form of destruction of property.
The Azimio leader said in Kitengela over the weekend that demonstrations remain an option for the opposition should the ongoing talks fail.
“No amount of intimidation or bullets will stop us from going back to the streets to protest. Even our constitution was borne out of protest,” Raila said.
Mr Odinga dismissed claims he was seeking a handshake with Ruto’s administration.
