Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is the best person and leader in all capacities, his wife; Second Lady Dorcas Rigathi, has said.
She has stated that Kenyans need not criticize the Second in Command, terming him someone they should be happy to have around.
Mrs Gachagua has added that the same applies to his position as the leader of the Second Family, terming him also a good father in private.
“Those people who have a problem with my husband, you better know he is a very good husband. He is also a very good father. Not only that, he is the best leader you can ever have. He is a man with a big heart,” she is quoted by The Star.
She made the remarks on Wednesday when they hosted Kenya’s Special Olympic team that represented the country in Berlin, Germany.
She pointed out that it is the DP who has helped her achieve her dreams, by always standing behind her and enabling her go after her ambitions.
“Sometimes when you see a woman who is able to move around and to pursue her dreams and to do what she deserves to do is because behind her is a great man like Riggy G,” she added.
Dorcas said that it is even because of her that Gachagua was present for the function, saying that he was busy but availed himself for her sake.
But the DP has been under attack from his critics, who have accused him of being arrogant and careless with his remarks, including being tribal.
He has also repeatedly been heard attacking Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga, whom he has accused of trying to intimidate him and President William Ruto.
