Leaders drwan from the North Eastern part of the country on Saturday held a meeting to chart their path in regards to the Kenya’s Politics.
The meeting was led by Dadaab Constituency member of parliament Hon Adan Keynan, a Rebellious Jubilee party member of parliament who has since shifted allegiance to President Wiliam Ruto.
According to Hon. Keynan, the meeting gave them a platform to deliberate on issues of importance to their region and chart a common path that propels the country national interest.
Keynan noted that the meeting is part of their bid to have a United region, a move that will lead to Development of the Region.
“We seek to collectively blend our common ideas that define the future of our region through strategic partnerships that foster unity, promote peace and streamline coordination across our counties.” Keynan said.
The meeting brought together a number of leaders drwan from the counties of Mandera, Wajir and Garrisa.

The members of parliament were drwan from various parties both in the opposition and Government. The Leaders were; Hon. Hussein Waytan MP Mandera East who is the vice chairman of the caucus, Hon. Salah Yakub Farah MP for Fafi Constituency who is their Secretary General, The Caucus’ treasury Hon. Umulkheir Kassim Woman Rep for Mandera county.
The other members of parliament who attended the meeting were; Adan Daud Mohamed member of parliament for Wajir East, Hon. Yussuf Farah MP Wajir West, Tarbaj MP Hon. Hussein Abdu Barre, Wajir women representative Hon. Fatuma Abdi Jehow, Hon. Abdi Omar Shuriye member of parliament for Mbalambala Constituency, and Hon. Abdi Ali Haji Shekhow MP Ijara.
Others were Hon. Abdikadir Hussein Member of parliament for Lagdera, Hon. Amina Siyad Udgoon Women Representative of Garissa County, Hon. Abdulkadir Mohamed Haji senator Garrisa County, Hon. Adan Haji member of parliament for Mandera West Constituency, Hon. Mohamed Abdikheir member of parliament for Lafey, Hon. Major Bashir Mandera North Constituency member of parliament, and Hon. Abdulwahab Kore Mandera South MP
Nominated member of Parliament Hon. Zuleikha Hulbale and nominated Senator Hon.Mariam Sheikh Omar were also in the meeting.
