Ex-MP Claims Ruto Is Balancing Politics And Development Not To Repeat What Made Uhuru Lose Mt Kenya

Former Nyeri member of parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has claimed that the retired President Mr Uhuru Kenyatta lost the grip of Mt Kenya because he only focused on development and played little politics.Mr Ngunjiri lost the Nyeri town seat that he was holding to a UDA politician. He ran on a Jubilee party ticket as he believed in President Uhuru’s pick Raila. Well, Raila didn’t garner much in Mt Kenya as William Ruto overwhelmingly won seat’s there. In an interview with the Sunday Nation, Ngunjiri says that Uhuru lost control of politics because he was not available to play raw politics.

For Mr Ruto he does the work then goes to the people to engage about project’s. That in so doing, you don’t lose the political aspect and you also remain in touch with the people. The President had been going for development tours every week and also interdenominational meeting’s every Sunday, some of them dubbed as prayer meeting’s. But a lot of politics is played in these sessions and this seems to be a creative way that Mr Ruto has adopted.
