Dagoreti North Constituency member of parliament Hon Beatrice Elachi, has defended police officers against attacks by the members of the public.

Speaking in an exclusive Interviews with a local media house, the Orange Democratic Movement party member of parliament noted that the officers also suffer and know what the common citizens are going through.

She defended the officers who were captured loading gas cylinders into their vehicles from a shop during the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party.

The first time member of parliament claimed that the officers were just going to keep the cylinders to prevent theft by rioters. According to her, the officers finally returned the cylinders to the trader. She noted that Kenyans should not assume that the officers stole the cylinders.

“The police took the gas cylinders and put them in their car, they were safe guarding them and later bring back to the owner.
