Influencer slams customer service at two top bridal boutiques in extraordinary rant and claims the environment was 'hostile'

One of Australia’s top influencers has slammed two upmarket bridal boutiques after a failed shopping expedition to find her dream wedding dress.

Em Davies, who announced her engagement to boyfriend Joel Gambin in March, visited Sydney‘s upmarket suburb of Paddington to visit several bridal stores late last month, but left empty handed.

Expressing her frustration in a TikTok video on Friday, the 28-year-old slammed two boutiques for their poor customer service and ‘hostile’ environment, but chose not to refer to the brands by name.

‘It was just the biggest letdown. I’m like, not even being dramatic guys. Like, it just felt really hostile in both places that we went to,’ Em told the camera, admitting she felt ‘pretty sad’ after the shopping trip.

‘And I just think if you’re spending that much money on a dress, like some decent customer service would [be appreciated],’ she added.

Em admitted she had a better experience at the first boutique compared to the second place she visited.

She then clarified she ‘didn’t want to drag anyone’ by naming either of the brands, adding: ‘It’s just my experience, I’m sure a lot of other people that have gone there have had really good experiences.’

‘I tried on like, freaking 20 dresses or something in 30 minutes. Like, it wasn’t enjoyable and I felt like… I didn’t really get much of a say in a lot of what was going on and I just… you know. I just had higher hopes,’ she complained.

Since Daily Mail reached out to her for comment, Em has deleted her wedding dress shopping vlog and subsequent TikTok rant.

Em is certainly no stranger to controversy.

In August last year, the Perth star landed herself in hot water after she uploaded an image of a sealed zip lock bag containing a brownie, as she made her way to the airport to catch a flight to Bali.

‘Are we going to regret eating this weed brownie on our way to the airport?’ she wrote alongside a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ poll.

The post was deleted a few minutes later, presumably when Davies realised it was shared with her more than 360,000 followers, rather than her close friends.

She also raised eyebrows in January 2020 she shared a joke video of herself on Instagram following a New Year’s Eve gathering, where she pretended to snort a white powder with pals.

In the clip, Em was seen lifting a non-illegal substance from a small piece of paper to her nose, guided by a tiny metal spoon.

The influencer was then seen laughing at the camera, before saying: ‘Yeah, the boys!’
