Details are out what happened moments before the Kenya Defence Forces chopper carrying the head of state President William Ruto could touch down in Kilifi County.
According to the information shared, just before the head of state could land in Kilifi County to start his 5 day tour in coastal region, he had sent a preparatory team to the region.
According to the information shared by PS Immigration Julius Bitok, he had chaired a preparatory meeting at Karisa Maitha grounds in Kilifi ahead of the arrival of the head of state. Also Spotted in the preparatory group was Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy Salim Mvurya.
According to the information shared, the head of state is set to preside over the issuance of registration documents to the Pemba Community, marking the end of long wait by over 5,000 members of the community.
The head of state has already landed in the coastal region to start of his 5 day tour to the 5 counties of the region which includes Taita Taveta, Mombasa,Lamu, Kilifi and Kwale.
The head of state has been received by Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki. Ruto had flown to Tanzania for a key summit.
